STERILE WAX FOUNDATION AŽ

Our cold rolled and unbreakable WAX FOUNDATIONS shrink and expand at high temperature differences. Thus the wax foundations must be heated to the summer temperature of the bees’ nest they later get inserted in. Before you install the wax foundation to the wire, you must additionally heat it to the summer temperature of the bees’ nest (35°C). You can do this by bringing the wax foundation into a suitably heated room (at least 25°C) already a few days before the installation. After that, heat each individual wax foundation to 35–40°C with a hair dryer. You can do this by holding the wooden frame upright, while the wax foundation is placed on the wire, and then dry the wax foundation with the hair dryer on both sides equally. As a result of heating, the wax foundation expands. Place the wax foundation with the frame on the table and immediately install on the wire. A wax foundation, installed in this manner, NEVER additionally bends or creases, because it was installed on the wire in a heated, expanded state.

THE WAX USED FOR OUR WAX FOUNDATIONS WAS STERILISED IN ADVANCE FOR 30 MIN AT 120°C.
